Third Generation

18. David Monroe DURHAM was born in Dec 1824 in South Carolina.31,32,33,34 It has not been proven 100% that Joel Durham, born in South Carolina is the father of David M. Durham. I place him here because Joel Durham is the best possibility. Joel Durham is found in DeKalb County, Alabama in the 1840 and 1850 Census. The 1840 Census for DeKalb County, Alabama shows J. Durham with 5 young males and 4 young females living with him. Joel Durham seem to appear in the 1830 Green County, Kentucky with 3 young males and 1 young female, and in 1820 - Pendleton County, South Carolina, next to Daniel Durham. No young children are living with Joel in 1820. More research is needed.
