Ronceverte-Lloyd Grayson Durham, 81, passed away early Sunday morning, May 17,
2009 in the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, after a long illness,
Born June 20, 1927 in Farco, WV., he was the son of the late Alford and Nina
Buckland Durham.
Mr. Durham had been a resident of Ronceverte for 36 years and was formerly of
Rainelle, attended the Greenbrier Baptist Church of Ronceverte and was a retired
carpenter for the Meadow River Lumber Company and Ambler Construction Co.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, A1thole Cox and a half sister,
Gertrude Gregory.
Survivors include his wife, Mavis Hammons Durham of Ronce-verte, one daughter,
Tanja Christy and husband, Monnie of Rainelle, one son, Lloyd Lynn Durham and
wife, Cindy of Rainelle, one sister, Lois Wood of Princeton, four grandchildren
and four great grandchildren.
Services were held 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at the Longanacre Funeral
Home Chapel, Fairlea with Pastor Tim Dillon officiating. Burial followed in the
Greenbrier Memorial Gardens, Lewisburg.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Building Fund, Greenbrier Baptist
Church, RR 2, Box 19, Ronceverte, WV 24970 or Seneca Trail Christian Academy,
269 Seneca Trail S, Rt 219, Ronce-verte, WV. 24970.
