48. James Harvey DURHAM was born about 1834 in Tennessee.^8,27 He died on 23 May 1863 in Lake Spring, Dent County, Missouri.⁴ In the 1860 Census for Wright County, Missouri, Charlotte Durham, age 53 (born in North Carolina), is listed in the household of James Harvey Durham and wife Sarah.

In the 1870 Census for Webster County, Missouri, (Ozark), Sarah (Rose) Durham has remarried to James S. McQuerter. (James Harvey Durham, died in 1863 - Barb and Smitty's Legacy website). John Durham, age 17 and James W. Durham, age 8, are both living with James S. McQuerter and wife, Sarah J.

In the 1880 Census for Webster County, Missouri (Marshfield - District 137), James Durham, age 18 is listed as "step-son" in the household of James S. McQuerter and wife Sarah.

I found the record for the above. I put it in the scrapbook. He enlisted on April 20, 1863. James died of pneumonia in Lake Springs on May 23, 1863.

James H. and Sarah had a son James W., who was born Feb 11, 1862 and died
July 11, 1885. He is buried in Marshfield Cemetery, Webster County....but
we did not find any other family members in any of the Webster County
cemeteries that have been transcribed.
