In the 1920 Census for Forsyth County, Georgia (Settendown - District 56), Archibald B. Durham, age 85 and "widowed" is listed as "Father-in-Law" in the household of George C. Turner and wife Agnes.

Descendant of Archibald Benson Durham

I am a great grandson of Archibald Benson Durham, son of Charles Anderson Durham, Jr. Archibald was a Civil War veteran from Pickens Co, SC. He moved to Forsyth Co, GA in the 1870's and lived to be 98 years old, dying in 1933. He is buried in Forsyth Co, about five miles from where I live. He had nine children with his first wife. She died in 1899, and he married a woman 42 years younger than him. He had four children with her. He was 67 years old when my grandfather, Joseph Terrell Durham, was born in 1902. Prior to my grandfather's death in 1992, he was recognized as one of only two sons of a Confederate soldier still living in Ga.
