Grover "Thomas" Durham, 74, of 148 New Walters Mill Road, Providence, died Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Danville Regional Medical Center.

Born in Blanch, NC on July 21, 1937, he was the son of the late Wickham Lee Durham and Mary Alice Durham Durham. He was married to Gina W. Durham, who survives him of the home. He had worked in the maintenance department of Dan River, Inc. and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Tammy Ruth Neff of Pelham and Kimberly Alice Durham of Providence; two sons, Thomas Wayne Durham and wife, Debbie, of Pelham, and Chad Nathaniel Durham and wife, Shannon, of Blanch. Other survivors include grandchildren Zachary Durham, Nicholas Bennington, Caleb Durham, Brandon Bullock, Michael Durham, Wayne Durham, Jr., and Katherine Neff; Four Great-grandchildren, and one brother, Otis Durham of Greensboro.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, Jack N. Durham, John W. Durham, and Malloy Durham, and Herman Durham; one sister, Josephine Durham. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 2:00 at Barker Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roy Newton officiating. Interment will follow in the Durham Family Cemetery at 571 Bertha Wilson Road, Blanch, NC, 27212. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Barker Funeral Home Chapel and at other times will be at the residence, 148 New Walters Mill Road, Providence.
