It seems that Laura got pregnant at 14 and had my dad Windell in 1923. Laura went on to nursing school and the Durham's raised my dad as their son. Until the day she died she would not divulge the name of my grandfather. My sister and I both live in Texas as does Laura's daughter Jane.
