Edna Gale West, 84, of Ojai, died Monday, April 9, 2001. She was born Feb. 14, 1917 in Hugo, Okla., and lived in Ojai for 36 years. During World War II, she was in the first Women's Baseball League. She was also a Girl Scout leader, Cub Scout leader and a den mother. Mrs. West was a club champion at both the Montalvo Golf Course and Ojai's Soule Park Golf Course.
