Norfolk - Letha "Lea" Durham Englehart, 87, departed this life on August
19, 2012.
Born on September 16, 1924 in Bailey, Virginia she was the daughter of the late
John Everet Durham and Jennie Bell Durham. Preceding her in death, her husband
of 51 years, Lester Ernest Englehart, married on August 5, 1944 in Norfolk, Virginia.
Letha attended Graham High school and was a talented beautician, owning Bonnell
beauty salon in Norfolk, Virginia. Letha enjoyed spending time with her friends
and family, gardening, traveling, scrapbooking and crafts. She was a member of
McKendree United Methodist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her twin daughters, Jan Kincaid, her husband,
David, and Joan Elliott, and her husband, Barrett; five grandchildren, Allen
Elliott, and his wife Gabrielle, Letha Anderson, and her husband Joshua, Tanya
McGraw, and her husband, Dwayne, Debra Lucado, and her husband, Dwayne, Jenny
Anderson, and her husband, Michael; twelve great-grandchildren, Sayde Hasinger,
Addison Elliott, Valentia Pollard, Carley Anderson, Dustin and Brandon Johnson,
Jordyn and Nathan McGraw, Evelyn, Isabella, and Amelia Lucado, and Colton Anderson;
a brother Ray Durham, and his wife, Georgia; a sister Ruby Carter; and many beloved
family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Smith & Williams
Funeral Home, Norview Chapel. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, August
23, 2012, at McKendree United Methodist Church officiated by the Reverend Michelle
Louk. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery followed by a reception hosted
by the church. Memorial contributions may be made to McKendree United Methodist
Church, 6870 N. Military Highway, Norfolk, 23518. Arrangements are being handled
by Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk, Chapel.

1944 in Norfolk, Virginia. Lester Ernest "Doc"
ENGLEHART was born on 10 Apr 1925 in Weatherly, Pennsylvania.
He died on 16 Apr 1996 in Roanoke, Roanoke County, Virginia. Lester
"Doc" Englehart served in the US Navy, World War II, 12/1/42
to 12/13/45 - 10 months in Phillipine Islands. Letha Maye DURHAM and Lester
