In Loving Memory of My Dear Mother
BEAVERS, Mrs. Mary Jane - 76, of Pickaway, Monroe County, died Monday in the
Andrew S. Rowan Nursing Home at Sweet Springs. She was a native of Tazewell,
Va., and moved to Pickaway 12 years ago to reside at the home of a daughter,
Mrs. Harry Jenkins. She was a member of the Freewill Church at Tazewell. Also
surviving are one other daughter, Mrs. Ollie Wicks of Philadelphia, Pa; five
sons, Walter Puckett, of Cincinnati, Ohio, James Puckett of Nicholas, Pa., Hugh
Puckett and Robert VanDyke, both of Bandy, Va., and Lester Ford of Mehoopany,
Pa.; a brother, Frank Durham of Oakvale; 27 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
The body is at Broyles Funeral Home in Union. In 1930, Mary (Durham) VanDyke,
is head of household in the 1930 census for Tazewell County, VA. Her step-sister
Barbara Pruitt is living with her, along with a son of Barbara's.
