Annie Lamb Durham

Annie Elizabeth Lamb Durham, 98, of Earlysville, died at her home.
Born Dec. 5, 1905, in Free Union, she was the daughter of the late Charles F.
Lamb and Mattie Gentry Lamb. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George
L. Durham Sr.
A homemaker, she was a member of Waynesboro Wesleyan Church and formerly a member
of Monticello Wesleyan Church for many years.
She is survived by four sons, George L. Durham Jr. and his wife, Mable, of Charlottesville,
Charles R. Durham and his wife, Marilyn, of Waynesboro, Merlin W. Durham and
his wife, Elaine, of Earlysville, and Carroll E. Durham and his wife, Bonnie,
of Waynesboro; a special granddaughter, Pamela Durham Watson of Barboursville;
15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., today, Jan. 30, 2004, at the Hill &
Wood Funeral Home with the Rev. Stanley R. Belcher officiating. Due to weather
conditions, the interment will be private following the funeral.
