DURHAM and Rachel BLACK were married on 5 Aug 1869 in Casey County, Kentucky.⁵² Rachel BLACK (daughter of Lincy BLACK and Angeline CLINE) was born on 7 Apr 1845 in Pulaski County, Kentucky.^18,50 She died Tuberculosis of the Lungs on 11 Dec 1913 in Casey County, Kentucky.¹⁸ In the 1900 census for Casey County, Kentucky - James Durham, age 75 and "widowed" is living in the household of Joseph and Sally Raney. James Durham is listed as "father in law". Actually this is Sally's grandfather. Her father James Durham was married to "Rachel (Black)" who is living next door in the household of John and Ada Durham. Rachel is listed as "mother" and "widowed". So Sally's father "James Durham, Jr." died before the 1900 census was taken. John C. DURHAM and Rachel BLACK had the following children:
