Informant at death listed as "H. W. Durham" of Dallas, Texas. It is not 100% proven that Jesse L. Durham is a son of Jesse and Mary Durham of Edgefield County, South Carolina. I only place him here until more information can be found.

There is a "Jesse Durham", age 2, born in 1878 in South Carolina, listed in the household of Jesse Durham, age 38 (b. ca 1842, born in "Kentucky") and wife, Mary, age 32, born in "South Carolina", both listed in the 1880 Census for Edgefield County, South Carolina (Norris - District 58). In the 1900 Census for Fort Bend County, Texas (Justice Precinct 6 - District 14), Jessie L. Durham lists his father as born in "Kentucky" and his mother born in "South Carolina". Currently I have listed Jesse L. Durham, b. 1878, with this family. More research is needed.

In the 1900 Census for Fort Bend County, Texas (Justice Precinct 6 - District 14), Matthew K. Fulford, age 23 (b. July 1876), is listed as "Bro-in-law" in the household of Jessie L. Durham, age 22 (b. Sept 1878 - South Carolina) and wife Ada M.

In the 1920 Census for Dallas County, Texas (Dallas Precinct 28 - District 57), Eddie S. Fulford (sister), age 23 and "single" is listed in the household of Ada Durham, age 42 and "widowed".

Jesse Layton DURHAM and Ada M. FULFORD were married about 1898 in Texas.³² Ada M. FULFORD (daughter of Frederick FULFORD and Susan M. (UNKNOWN)) was born in Jul 1877 in Texas.^{32,33,34,35,36} Jesse Layton DURHAM and Ada M. FULFORD had the following children:
