DODSON was born about 1833. He died on 18 Nov 1863 in Marietta,
GA. He died in the Academy Hospital in Marietta, GA during the Civil

On October 24th he wrote his will "on the eav (eve) of returning to the
army..." He states that he had no thoughts that he would return. (The will

He died of wounds from the Civil War. George enlisted 19 MAR 1862 in Pickens
District, SC by J. E. Hagood, CC. He appears on a list of casualities 27 JUN
and 30 JUN 1862 as wounded in the hand (in the seven days battles before Richmond,
VA). He was on the Muster Roll in the SC - 2nd Rifles, Company B of Moore's Rifles
- CSA. He was on the Muster Roll for JAN and FEB 1863 and listed as deceased,
18 NOV 1863 when he died at Academy Hospital in Marietta, GA.
