Ruth "Ruth" HARRISON was born on 24 Jun 1920 in Anderson County, SC. She died on 24 Mar 2002 in Oconee County, SC. She died Sunday in a car accident near Long Creek (Hwy 76) at the age of 81 years old.
She was buried on 27 Mar 2002 in Fant's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Anderson County, SC. Funeral arrangements were made by Sandifer Funeral Home, Westminster, for a Wednesday, 2:00 PM service at Fants Grove Baptist Church per her obituary in the Anderson Independent - Mail and the Greenville News on Tuesday, 26 MAR 2002.

Ruth Harrison Gilliam Stone, 81, of 255 Weldon Road died Sunday, March 24, 2002.

Born in Anderson County, she was retired from Jantzen and was a member of the Fair Play Church of God, where she sang in the church choir and was a member of the ladies Sunday school class. She was also involved in the outreach ministry to Mariner Health Care.

Surviving are widower, T.C. Stone of Seneca; sons, Billy Gilliam of Richland and the Rev. Mac Gilliam of Simpsonville; daughters, Betty Cates of Westminster, Linda Mote and Patricia Harris, both of Westminster, Glenna McAlister of Fair Play, Debbie Head, Cheryl Harris and Sandra Stasney, all of Westminster and Julie Collier of Seneca; brother, Howard Harrison of Iva; sister, Bonnie Hart of Anderson; 32 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was the daughter of the late Dank and Emmie Durham Harrison. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Connie Gilliam; a daughter, Dolly Gilliam Pinkston; and five brothers, Alvin Lee, Dank Junior, William Henry, Winston and Bruce Albert Harrison.

Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fants Grove Baptist Church by the Revs. Roger Stephens, Billy F. Gilliard and Mac Gilliam; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The body is at the Sandifer Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Flowers are accepted, and the family is at the residence of daughter, Patricia Harris, 255 Weldon Road, Westminster.

William Henry "Henry" HARRISON was born on 14 Aug 1926. He died on 23 May 1963. He was buried in Fant's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Anderson County, SC. He did not marry, but had several children.

Herbert Winston "Winston" HARRISON was born on 1 Jan 1928. He died on 9 Jul 1948. He was buried in Fant's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Anderson County, SC. Winston was killed in an automobile accident on Wild Hog Road (Hwy 187). His brother, Henry, was driving.
