Daisy Katherine Durham Toler, 73, of 325 Turner Ashby Road, Martinsville, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2007, at her home.

She was born on March 11, 1934, in Franklin County to Herrick Dickerson Durham and Mary Fannie Arrington Durham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary D. Gardner; and three brothers, Guy Durham, Ford R. Durham and Gordon L. Durham.

She worked for the Martinsville city school system and E.I. DuPont Inc. for 14 years. She was a member of Spring Street Baptist Church in Martinsville.
Surviving are her husband, George Ray Toler of the home; two sons, Ricky Toler of Summerfield, N.C., and Dean Toler of High Point, N.C.; five sisters, Audrey P. Durham of Glade Hill, Nan D. Smith of Winter Park, Fla., Elaine D. Knapp of Salem, Shirley D. Foley of Bassett, and Beatrice D. Barbour of Glade Hill; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Norris Funeral Services with Pastor Joe Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park in Martinsville.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and other times at the home.
