John Durham was baptized June 9, 1816. He was a member of and worker in the Mt. Olive Christian Church. Almost everyone from the Mt. Olive area is kin to John Durham in some way. John Durham married Margaret Brown Hopper after Nancy Lucas died. John Durham is buried at Salyers Cemetery, near Mt. Olive, Casey County, Kentucky.
