In the 1870 Census for Jackson County, Alabama (District 5 - Subdivision 1), Paralee Durham, age 35, is listed with children: James R., age 13, John, age 11, and Thomas, age 8, in the household of Salemia Morgan (female). (Mother?).

In the 1880 Census for Jackson County, Alabama (District 113), Parallee Durham, age 45 and "widowed" is listed with "sons": James R, age 24, and Thomas, age 17, in the household of Salena Morgan.

Madison DURHAM and Samantha Paralee MORGAN were married about 1855 in Alabama.³ Samantha Paralee MORGAN (daughter of ???? MORGAN and Salena (UNKNOWN)) was born about 1837 in Alabama.^3,8,9 Madison DURHAM and Samantha Paralee MORGAN had the following children:
