He (William Francis Durham) came to Texas with his family in 1866, and became a cotton trader. He raised 10 children in a large two-story house east of Comanche. Two grandmothers also lived in the house.

In the 1870 Census for Comanche County, Texas (On Indian Creek), Wm. F. M. Durham, age 10, and born in "Alabama", is listed in the household of Leonard Coker and wife, Mary A. (Green).

In the 1880 Census for Comanche County, Texas (Not Stated - District 28), William Coker (Actually "Durham"), age 19, is listed in the household of Mary Coker, age 34 and "widowed". (The 1870 Census for Comanche County, Texas had this "William Coker" listed as "Wm F. M. Durham".

DURHAM and Anna Narcissus "Annie" REDWINE were married on 4 Jul 1882 in Comanche, Comanche County, Texas.^88,163,166 Anna Narcissus "Annie" REDWINE (daughter of Joe REDWINE and Hannah COKER) was born on 31 May 1865 in Alabama.^{18,163,164,165,166} She died Hypostatic Pneumonia on 24 Jul 1942 in Gorman, Eastland County, Texas.¹⁸ Buried in Oakwood Cemetery. Since Walter Marvin Durham is giving the information, I went with the WWI Registration Card.
