Edith S. Hill services, Wednesday
Edith S. Hill, 81, of 600 Wendemere Drive, Seymour, died unexpectedly at 5:34 a.m. Sunday at the Jackson County Schneck Memorial Hospital emergency room.

A member of First Church of the Nazarene, Seymour, she was retired from the former Gerwin Shoe Co. She has also worked at the former Seymour Woolen Mills. She was a lifelong Jackson County resident.

Born Sept. 15, 1910, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Cleveland and Letha Ellen Durham Goens. She married Edwin Hill on Aug. 24, 1929, in Jeffersonville, IN. He survives.

Other survivors include six sons, Sherman "Tony" Hill, Little Rock, Ark.; John M. Hill, Stanley "Bode" Hill, Mark W. Hill and Baron P. Hill, all of Seymour; and Kenneth "Duke" Hill, Muncie; a daughter, Mrs. Willard (Linda) Hackman, Seymour; a sister, Berneice Woolls, North Vernon; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Myers Funeral Service, Burkholder Chapel, Seymour. Dr. Roy F. Quanstrom and Dr. B. G. Wiggs will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Mausoleum, Seymour.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. th 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of the Nazarene, Seymour, or the Diabetes Association.
