Second Generation

3. Samuel DURHAM3 was born about 1785. It is not proven 100% that Samuel Durham is a son of Samuel Davis Durham. I place him here until more proof can be found.

In the 1820 Census for Greene County, Georgia (Capt Leftwicks District), Samuel Durham is listed next door to Jackson Booles. Samuel has 5 other males listed in his household, and 6 females (one most likely a wife). William Durham is listed on the same page. He is listed with 4 males and 2 females (one most likely a wife). There are several Booles and Runnels (Reynolds) families listed nearby. Both Samuel and William Durham are listed in the 45+ catagory. William Durham is listed in the 1850 Census for Greene County, at age 63 (b. 1787). Most likely Samuel and William are brothers. More research is needed.

Samuel DURHAM and Patsy "?Osborn?" REYNOLDS were married on 28 Apr 1801 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia.4 Patsy "?Osborn?" REYNOLDS3 was born about 1775 in place unknown.5,6,7 In the 1860 Census for Greene County, Georgia, Patsey Osborn, age 77, is listed in the household of A. M. Durham (Abram M. Durham). Patsey Durham, age 86, is listed in the household of Abram Durham, in the 1870 Census for Greene County, Georgia. I believe that "Patsey Osborn" and "Patsey Durham" are the same person. Samuel DURHAM and Patsy "?Osborn?" REYNOLDS had the following children:
